Entry is just £2.00 per adult (children are free) and includes tea / coffee mince pies/shortbread and free juice and biscuits for the kids.
You can visit Santa in his Grotto (£3 per child includes a gift) and why not let the children have a bounce on our indoor Bouncy Castle while waiting for Santa.
This year we also have the Christmas Letter Hunt with the opportunity for the kids to win a prize and have fun exploring the Fayre looking for the Letters to make a Christmas word.
We will have a Children’s zone in the Junior Department with Christmas Crafts, Face Painting, Tuck and Novelties and Christmas Movies and more…
The Main Gym Hall will have the old favourites such as the Grand Raffle, Bottle Stall, Toy stall and Gift Tombola to name but a few along with some no additions such as Find Santa’s Sleigh.  If all that isn’t enough, come meet our life sized Elf, guess his age and who knows you may be taking him home at the end of the day!…
This year the very popular Enterprise Day will be part of the Fayre.  The Children of P7 have been working very hard and will have lots of lovely gifts for you to buy.  So come along and support them also.
The tearoom will be in the Mensa as usual with the home baking and food stalls…..
All money raised will go to funding activities and equipment for the children at OLM
Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you on the day…

PLAYGROUND ACTION DAY (and tool collection) – 12-3 Sunday 19th November

Hope you’ve seen the previous email and have already looked out your wellies to come help on Sunday!
Please come down any time from 12 to 3 for as long as you can spare. Even if it’s half an hour, it all counts.
Thanks (huge thanks in fact) to parent Joe McHugh and his company, the heaviest work will be done on Saturday but we still need lots of help with lifting and spreading bark, painting etc so there’s plenty of fun to be had for all the family to get the area ready for winter.
Wellies are essential and gloves if you have them. Spades, rakes, buckets and wheelbarrows will also be needed. Label anything you bring.
Please note also the school will probably not be open this time for toilets.
Finally, if you left tools behind last time, please can you try and collect them on Sunday or have someone do so on your behalf?
Many thanks
Catherine Dillon-Ruddy
Head Teacher

Dear Bishop John,
“I believe in the Holy Spirit.”
As a parishioner of St Joseph’s I am asking to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in St Mirin’s Cathedral on Wednesday 25th April 2018 with Our Lady of the Missions Primary School.
In receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation with faith, I will be ‘sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit’. I will be made more like Jesus and come closer to him. I will be   made more fully a member of his Church and I will be given a special strength to give witness to Jesus in my life.
I have chosen the name of __________________________ for my Confirmation name.
I ask St. ______________________ to pray for me and to inspire me to be more like Jesus in my daily life.
I have chosen the name of St. ________________________  because …………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Yours sincerely

P1 and P7 Photographs

P1 Wednesday 22nd November

P7 Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st November

Photographers will be visiting the school next week to take photos of Primary 1 and Primary 7 pupils. The photos will be back in time for Christmas, so would make a nice gift for that relative who is difficult to buy for or simply a wonderful memento of what are very special years.

What’s more, for each photograph sold, the School/PSA will receive commission that will be used to benefit all children in the school – like Christmas parties or science workshops.

P1 photos will have your child sitting at a traditional school desk with traditional school items around them. This is designed to give a more interesting scene and relax the child. It will also be framed.

P7’s will have a book style presentation with single photo on one side and smaller photos of their classmates on the other side.  They will also have the opportunity to collectively sign their names, something nice to look back on in years to come.

This is a new initiative so we welcome your feedback. However, we are sure that it will be a successful addition to the many wonderful fundraising experiences that are on offer throughout the school year.

Many thanks,

Our Lady of the Missions Parent Staff Association
