Seasons For Growth Programme
Seasons for Growth is a change, loss and grief education programme for children who have suffered loss through bereavement, divorce or separation. It supports young people as they work in a group to understand and learn the skills to manage the issues they experience when death, separation, divorce or other major changes occur in their lives. We will be running a Seasons for Growth Group here in Our Lady of the Missions over the coming months. In previous years it has proved to be a highly successful way of equipping children with relevant skills to cope with different types of loss. For full information and details of information session for parents- see link to letter below.

Once again we look back at what has been a very busy and exciting session for the staff and pupils here at Our Lady of the Missions Primary School.
Confirmations
This final term began with the Confirmation of our Primary Seven pupils at St. Vincent Church and St. Mirin’s Cathedral. Both masses were very moving and spiritual occasions for all who took part.
Our recent Leavers’ Mass was a most uplifting service. The children’s singing was outstanding! Special mention to our musicians, Mairead McGrotty and James Gallagher from P7 assisted by Lewis and Rachel Murphy and Kathleen O’Hara, all former pupils. Now we look forward to the Leavers’ Ceilidh on Monday night. Thanks to the PSA for funding this lovely evening, and thanks to Mrs Young and Mrs Doherty who made the corsages and buttonholes for the children. Continue reading Newsletter June 2013
