Important Information – Parking

In light of the Early Years Expansion programme the development at Glenwood Family Centre has now begun in Eastwood Park.  As a consequence the parking in and around Woodfarm Road, Glenwood Family Centre and OLM has become significantly reduced.  Severely reducing parking at the allotments has necessitated that all parents should avoid Woodfarm Road at OLM and Glenwood Family Centre to reduce the amount of congestion in this area at the start of term.  Works will be ongoing until the summer of next. year.

Please note that the pedestrian access between Woodfarm Road and Eastwood Park has been maintained for us.

We suggest you Park and stride.

Please see the map attached.

International Day – Can you help?

The International Day will take place at 2-4.30 on Sunday 29th April.

Please help if you can by completing the form in the link below. It is intended to be a fun, family day for everyone so a good turnout of helpers, even for a little while, means everyone can enjoy the day.

Please tick ALL the times you can help – though we will only need you for one slot each (excluding set up / clear up which will be all hands on deck!)

None of the jobs are onerous and it should be a great day!

P1 and P7 Photographs

P1 Wednesday 22nd November

P7 Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st November

Photographers will be visiting the school next week to take photos of Primary 1 and Primary 7 pupils. The photos will be back in time for Christmas, so would make a nice gift for that relative who is difficult to buy for or simply a wonderful memento of what are very special years.

What’s more, for each photograph sold, the School/PSA will receive commission that will be used to benefit all children in the school – like Christmas parties or science workshops.

P1 photos will have your child sitting at a traditional school desk with traditional school items around them. This is designed to give a more interesting scene and relax the child. It will also be framed.

P7’s will have a book style presentation with single photo on one side and smaller photos of their classmates on the other side.  They will also have the opportunity to collectively sign their names, something nice to look back on in years to come.

This is a new initiative so we welcome your feedback. However, we are sure that it will be a successful addition to the many wonderful fundraising experiences that are on offer throughout the school year.

Many thanks,

Our Lady of the Missions Parent Staff Association
