The winner of last month’s Famous Moment in Lego was Marc Harrison in S3 who correctly identified the Christmas Day truce between the British and German soldiers during World War One in 1914.
The January Moment in Lego competition is now up and running so look out for the posters in Social Subjects rooms, in the corridors and on the website. Good luck!
From the philosophers who asked you: Is there more future or past?; How do you know you have a head?; and Do birds get bored?
We have an opening for people who are interested in philosophy. We meet in Mr Wyroslawski’s room every Wednesday lunchtime. So if you’re not sure whether the sound made by the person who started this sentence ever existed, or whether it would still have existed if they never read the sentence… come along!
Interested in reporting, investigations or journalism? Here’s a chance to tell the story of MCHS in your own words and produce our very own publication.
We meet in Mr Wyroslawski’s room every Thursday lunchtime.
Any S4 or S5 pupil who is considering leaving school after the summer and who wants to apply for a college course, apprenticeship or a job, should give their name to Mrs Gordon and their Pupil Support Teacher so they may be given help from the school and our careers advisor, Carol Ann Love.
