School Closure – Friday 2nd March

As the Amber Warning for snow has been extended, weather conditions are not conducive to safe travel and as a result Crookfur Primary and Nursery Class will remain closed tomorrow (Friday 2nd). Staff and children should not attend.

We hope that over the next few days sufficient snow clearance can be carried out in order to grit our access routes to school and I am optimistic that we will open as normal on Monday. Please continue to monitor our communication channels- Twitter, website and ERC media for further updates.

I do apologise for any inconvenience, especially to P3A. We will reschedule your assembly soon 🙂

Best wishes

Mrs McGuigan

Rights Respecting School Award

Crookfur Primary  have successfully achieved the Level 1 Rights Respecting Schools award.

Well done everyone for the time, effort, commitment and enthusiasm you have devoted to this journey.  Gerry McMurtrie from UNICEFwas hugely impressed with the knowledge and insight that the children demonstrated and their understanding of how and why rights need to be met.  Mrs Wilson has worked extremely hard over recent years and her efforts have been supported by the wider school community.

Gerry was also very impressed with the conversations he had with staff and parents who were able to explain the process we have been through and the various ways information and experiences have been shared.

So thank you all very much again.

Well done!RRSA-WEB2
