Crookfur Primary School  Car Park

Between 8.15am and 4.00pm, this car park is only for:

• STAFF
• BLUE-BADGE HOLDERS
• DELIVERIES
• BUSES

No parents/carers should use this car park for drop-off and pick up unless they are blue-badge holders.

There are only enough parking spaces for staff, support staff and visiting staff.  Although there may appear to be spaces available, these will be filled by returning staff members, and should not be used, even for a few minutes.

In addition, no vehicle should be parked on the pavement, or in front of the bollards, as this restricts pedestrian access. There is a very real risk that children are hit by vehicles mounting or reversing on the payment.  It also restricts access for deliveries and school buses that operate throughout the day.

Eastwood High School Car Park

Parents/carers driving to school should park in a MARKED BAY in this car park and use the zebra crossing to walk over to Crookfur.

The bus lanes should NOT be used by cars AT ANY TIME, including after school hours.  Buses need access before, during and after the school day and this lane would also be used by emergency service vehicles.

The bus lane is not a drop-off area and cars should never be parked in a bus lane.  There is also a child safety risk as children whose parents have parked in the car park need to cross the bus lane on foot.  There is risk that children crossing between parked/stopped cars will not be seen.
