Just a quick reminder that Parents’ Evening will be on Thursday of this week. This will run from 3.45 until 8.30, and once again the book fair will be open for business. The appointment sheet will be up in the nursery next week to make appointment times for our anti pre-school children.

Book Fair
To tie in nicely with all of the celebrations this week for ‘World Book Day’, the book fair will once again be in school next week. The children will have the chance to browse through the books during class time, and there will also be opportunities to purchase books and stationary at break and lunch time. The book fair will be open for parents’ evening and there is also the opportunity to order and pay for books on line following the instructions on the attached leaflet. Anyone wishing to pay by cheque should make them payable to Calderwood Lodge Primary School. We look forward to seeing you there.
Child Protection
East Renfrewshire Child Protection Committee are hosting three major events to tackle the concerns of parents, young people, staff and those in our local communities about exploitation in a number of ways, and at a time of increased media attention. Next week we will once again be celebrating Purim. Purim coincides with world book day this year so we are taking the theme of characters from a story for our fancy dress costumes. Take a look in the latest news section next week for stories and pictures of the celebrations. In the meantime please click here to view a presentation about the festival of Purim. This presentation will give you information relating to the story that you may find helpful when talking with your child about their learning of the festival in school
