IMPORTANT PARENT/CARER MEETING
A meeting for Parents/Carers with their son/daughter will take place on Thursday, 24th May 2012 at 5.30pm in Ralston House Area. This meeting will inform you of final travel arrangements, conduct and luggage information etc. Miss Bradley looks forward to seeing everyone there. If you are unable to attend please contact Miss Bradley prior to the meeting.
Please note that the meeting of the Minority Ethnic Parent Forum, scheduled for 17 May, has been postponed until further notice.
As a trial, to encourage a “greener” approach and help save on paper, we have today issued a summary version of the Newsletter on paper to all pupils (apologies for the October date!). The full version can be accessed directly from the website or a paper copy can be obtained from the School Office. Please let us know if you find this an acceptable approach for the future.

Pupils were invited to take part in a consultation exercise on proposals to build a new skate park in Cowan Park. Susan McNaughton, ERCs Green-Space Funding Officer and Emma Ball from Young People Services will be leading the ongoing consultation.
If you happen to be passing through Barrhead Train Station keep an eye open for our new John Muir Award posters which show the pupils undertaking work at the Dams to Darnley Country Park and some examples of Haiku poems written by the pupils. The Haiku poems were part of a poetry writing competition which was sponsored by Sainsbury’s Supermarket.
All S2 pupils will have an interview with their own pastoral support teacher today to choose their options for Session 2012-2013. Nine subjects areas have to be selected and Parent/Carer’s will have to sign the final sheet which each pupil will be given. If any Parent/Carer wishes to discuss their child’s options please contact Mr Clyne – Year Head. The S2 options booklet is under Quick Links in the home page.

Barrhead Cluster Concert involving pupils from: Barrhead High School, Auchenback Primary, Carlibar Primary, Cross Arthurlie Primary and Springhill Primary will be held on Tuesday 6 March at 7pm in Carlibar Primary School Theatre.
