Students should note the date and time of their examinations and ensure they arrive in school at least 30 minutes prior to their examination starting to allow for registration.
This means registering before 8.30am if your exam starts at 9am!
Friday 25th January – Tracking Report

Your child will be issued with an appointment sheet which they will use to record appointments they make with each of their class teachers.
A group of our senior pupils carried out a litter pick in the local area in response to requests from local residents. We are keen to work in partnership with our local community and we have more litter picks planned for the new year.
Thank you to our Art department and pupils who helped to create a wonderful festive window display for the charity shop Mary’s Meals. The design was also used for our annual Christmas card.
Once again we were treated to a high standard of entertainment by pupils and staff as the S6 raised funds for their yearbook. They performed to a packed and enthusiastic audience which filled the school theatre. Acts ranged from singing to ballet and included star performances from the dinner ladies and the annual cameo appearance by Mr Shankland.
Attached are Xmas study plans for S4 and S5 & S6 students.
We hope that students take time to relax and enjoy their Xmas break, but also realise that 2013 will inevitably be a busy year; with prelim exams starting in February.
It is recommended that students complete as much work as they can from the documents below; this will provide a solid platform for exam success in 2013.
Last night the school theatre was full to the brim as pupils and parents watched our 2012 Christmas Show. There were solo acts, groups, bands, dancers, staff acts and a wonderful Spice Girls production from our Dinning Hall Ladies. Everyone commented on the superb quality of the show and how talented our young people are.
Over £600 was raised to support the S6 Fund Raising Committee
Well done to everyone involved – and a big thanks to all the staff who helped to make this evening so wonderful.
Barrhead High are hoping to hold a Careers Convention in March 2013.
We are looking for parents and carers to take part on the night by explaining and discussing their occupation.
You don’t have to be a doctor or a lawyer to be able to take part, we are interested in having a variety of parents with differing occupations who can discuss with students the number of hours they work, the challenges of their job and the aspect they enjoy. Students would also be interested in any qualifications you needed to obtain before applying for your post and also what career path your occupation has.
If your are interested in joining us on the night then contact Mr McLean via the school office. Thank you.
Please note the following times for S4 supported study. With prelim exams only two months away it is imperative that students needing additional help or support with their subjects attend as many supported study sessions as they can.
