Over the next 2 weeks, our S3 pupils will sit the new Scottish National Standardised Assessments (SNSA). These are the new assessments introduced by the Scottish Government as part of their National Improvement Framework strategy and all S3 pupils across Scotland will sit these for the first time this session (as will all P1, P4 and P7 pupils).There are 3 assessments – reading, writing and numeracy – which are taken online. In Barrhead High School, our pupils will take the literacy assessments during the first week and the numeracy the following week.
These are not assessments that require particular preparation or studying on the part of the pupils but we do want them to do their best.
