Ailish Douglas and Heather Bingham are members of Clydebank Synchronized Swimming club. On Saturday, 21st June their performances helped the Club win the 2014 Club Championships. Ailish also gained a personal best, second place medal in the trio category.
Both girls swam in the team event. The Club Championship is a competitive “friendly”, where Scottish clubs compete against each other to gain highest places and maximum points to win the trophy and title. Ailish is currently working towards gaining skill level 3 and Heather skill level 2.

The Information Evening for S3/4 parents on Tuesday gave a useful introduction to the new National Qualifications that their sons/daughters are sitting this year.
Feedback was positive and the parents felt they had a better picture of what would be involved for the young people.
There was a lot of information given and the presentations and handouts can be found on the website under ‘New National Qualifications, information for parents’. A number of useful websites have been highlighted in the presentations.
Thanks to all who attended and offered their feedback on the night. If you have further questions or require further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
A reminder that it is vitally important that all S4 pupils have handed in both the white consent form and, most importantly, the green risk assessment form. If pupils require a replacement form they should ask at the office or speak to Mr Clelland or Miss Gordon.
If you have any queries about work experience please contact the school office for more information.
Work experience week dates are the 27th – 31st October but forms MUST be in prior to this to allow for processing. Pupils are expected to secure their own placements where possible.
We were delighted to welcome the award winning author, Berlie Doherty, to our school this week as part of the Edinburgh International Book Festival outreach programme. She spoke to our S1 pupils about her latest book “The company of ghosts”, a haunting and beautiful ghost story for young people. Our pupils were well prepared with lots of questions and there was an opportunity to get books signed.
A reminder to all senior students and their parents, that our Higher Education Information Evening will take place on Thursday, 21st August.
If you have questions about entry requirements, course outlines or finance then come along to the Ralston house area where representatives from universities & colleges will be able to answer your questions.
We look forward to welcoming you from 6.30pm onwards.
