We will once again be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March. More details will follow after the February holiday, however we just wanted to ask if anyone has any costumes that their child/children used in a previous year that they no longer require? If you do, please send them into the school office and we will find a new home for them.

The P7 Captains and Vice Captains are helping out at the MacMillan Coffee Morning in the Church Hall. It has been a huge success and the community have turned out to show their support – despite the awful weather!!
Following the death of Her Majesty The Queen on Thursday 8 September 2022 we are observing a period of National Mourning.
The UK Government has announced an additional one-off Bank Holiday on the day of Her Majesty’s State Funeral – Monday 19 September 2022.
As this falls on our September Public Holiday we can confirm that East Ayrshire Council will move this Public Holiday from Monday 19 September 2022 to Tuesday 20 September 2022.
Our Council offices and education establishments will be closed both days, but normal service provision will be maintained by our emergency/ standby services and essential services such as waste service, Children’s Houses, Care at Home, Community Alarms and Homeless Hostels. Our offices and schools will reopen on Wednesday 21 September.
We understand that any closure of Council services at short notice including our education services can be inconvenient for our communities but we have considered that keeping the extra day close to the funeral date will both mark this event appropriately and cause least disruption to services.

Dear parent / carer
I am pleased to share with you the link to our P7 Information Video. As we are currently unable to welcome large groups of parents to the school for a face-to-face information evening, we decided to record a video that you can view with your child instead. This video should answer many of the questions you may have about the final stages of our transition programme.
The video can be viewed by clicking the link below:
Or through our school blog’s P7 Transition section:

We would also like to invite you to an online drop-in session on Wednesday 25th May from 6.30-7.30pm. There will be no presentation or content shared during this session, this is an opportunity for parents and carers to ask any questions they may have. I would encourage you to watch the information video and look at the content on the P7 Transition page of our school blog in the first instance.
You can join us for the online session via the following link:

New blog pages have been created for each of the classes from Primary 1 to Primary 7. These will replace the current class pages that are presently on the school blog.
The new blogs will become live after the Easter break.
The blogs can be found by clicking on the name of your child’s class.
The teachers will show the children where to access their new class blog, which will be used for all home/school communication by the class teacher. All homework notes will be put on the class blog.
