P6/7

Term 3 – so far

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

P6/7 and P7 had an awesome trip to the King’s Theatre and had the chance to compare the book with the film with the live stage musical of Roald Dahl’s classic story.

Spring has sprung

With the ground not as hard as cement and the rain easing off, we had the chance to get out and plant some hedgerows and fruit trees which we were able to secure from the tree council.

End of Term 2

As the term draws to a close, we are exhausted but delighted with everything we have achieved. Our school show will be staged this week after weeks of rehearsal and our class assembly was a big success. Even more exciting is that we are now starting to receive replies from the companies that we wrote to.

Our Class Assembly was interactive and had lots of prizes to win.
replies from games companies are beginning to arrive!

Games Topic

This term we have been looking at board games. From timeless games like Go! Mahjong and Chess to discovering what are the newest and best selling boardgames today. We have also worked very hard to create our own games. Researching game companies, we have each written to a game company, asking them about their industry as well as asking for their opinions on our designs. We look forward to sharing our work with you all in our class assembly.

Class Charter

P6/7 have finished the design and contents of their class charter. Our theme for the term is tying into the class novel: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We decided which rights we felt were important for our school, identified who the Rights Holders and duty Bearers were and how best to ensure that each of these rights are met.
