P3 Blog 23-24

The rainforest is our new class topic. We have been researching different animals that live there and we had fun drawing and painting our favourites.


We having been learning about time and we have recently enjoyed using timers to carry out a variety of tasks and activities!

Lego is one of our favourite ‘Smart Start’ activities. Here are some of our creations. 💕💙

Scottish Dancing

On a Tuesday we have been learning Scottish dances. Here we are practising ‘The Canadian Barn Dance’.


Shape- tiling 

We have been learning about tiling during our shape lessons. We went on a tiling hunt around school then carried out a variety of activities related to what we had been learning about.

 

Christmas Party

Lots of fun was had at our Christmas party. Games, dancing and lots smiles all round!

Lego Challenge

We worked in our houses to design and create a winter/Christmas Lego scene for a STEM challenge. Dean were chosen as the winners by two P5 pupils. 💚🎄


Completed Art Work

We are so proud of our finished art work! Some of our work will be displayed on the way into the dinner hall and the rest will be displayed at our class! We think they look stunning!🍁🍂

Hot and Cold Art

We were learning about hot and cold colours. We mixed different hot colours on a piece of paper and cold colours on another to create our own unique blends. Watch this space to see our final pieces of work…this was just step one!😊🧡💙

 Multiplication Masters

This week in P3, we have been introduced to ‘Multiplication Masters’. We have been doing ‘say, make, do’ activities to help us with our two times tables.

P3’s Class Charter

P3 made their Class Charter by creating their own owls to add to the tree. They picked this theme after starting their class novel, ‘The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark’.
They chose five articles that meant the most to them to include on their charter.

Place Value-Monday 4th September 2023

P3 have been using a variety of resources and games to explore place value. They played ‘Place Value Basketball, used ‘Show it Four Ways’ boards and rolled special dice to create and identify 3-digit numbers.😊💙💛
