P4/5 wrote a recipe for the Christmas Eve they have at home as part of the genre procedural writing.
P4/5 – Christmas Party
We had lots of fun at our Christmas party this afternoon. We took part in musical statues, Christmas corners and Christmas action games. We had a great time dancing and enjoyed a snack too! When we got back to our classes, a sack of present had been left for the class. Thank you, Santa!!

As part of our learning about procedural writing we followed a recipe to make cakes. We also used our numeracy skills to weigh and measure.

P4/5 enjoyed performing the songs they had learnt at the Christmas Fayre.

In literacy we have been learning to create pieces of procedural writing and this week we focused on a recipe for a jam sandwich.
p4/5 STEM
As part of our forces topic we learnt about the famous bridge and canal Scottish engineer Thomas Telford. The task was then to build a bridge that would hold a car.
P4/5 – French
We have been revising numbers 0-30 in French. We used Numicon to make the numbers and our partner had to say the number in French. Bravo!
P4/5 – Secret Student Reward
The class have been working hard to earn Secret Student points. One of the school values is our focus each week and our secret student has to demonstrate this value.
We achieved our 20 point target on Monday and the class were rewarded with time at the play park. Everyone had great fun!
