The excitement levels were hit today when P4/5 found out that Haribo were going to help us learn about calculating fractions of a quantity!! The best bit was halving them with our partner and eating them!!
We also used our skills in multiplication and division to help us too.

We have been learning about Buddhism and we created lotus flowers which are very symbolic at a Buddhist temple.

We have been learning about onomatopoeia through our novel study and used the tools on Adobe Express to create a pop art style poster showing examples of onomatopoeia.
Everyone learnt how to insert elements, duplicate images, edit text and use the shortcuts to copy and paste.

We consolidated the French vocabulary we have learnt so far for farm animals by playing a game of “Who am I?” – it was lots of fun!

We have been discussing how to stay safe online and which information is ok to share and which information should be kept private.
We watched a video about internet safety, completed a paired task sorting public and private information and then created our own avatar with a username, which allows us to keep our full name private.

With our knowledge of 2D shape, we have been exploring tessellation.
We created our own tessellation patterns by hand and then used Shapes within Word to create tessellations too!
We used the shape tool, the fill tool and learnt the keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste.

We have been investigating 2D shapes including more complex shapes such as rhombus, parallelogram, octagon. We created posters explaining the properties of these shapes including the number of sides and the number of vertices.

We have been revising numbers 0-30 in French. We used Numicon to make the numbers and our partner had to say the number in French. Bravo!

We are starting our RME topic of religious buildings by looking at Christian churches.
The class worked in pairs. They accessed a web link via our class Team to learn about features of a church. Then they designed a floor plan of a church.
Once complete, the pairs self-assessed their work against the success criteria.
