P4/5 – Digital Technologies – Adobe Express
We have been learning about onomatopoeia through our novel study and used the tools on Adobe Express to create a pop art style poster showing examples of onomatopoeia.
Everyone learnt how to insert elements, duplicate images, edit text and use the shortcuts to copy and paste.

P4/5 – French Farm Animals
We consolidated the French vocabulary we have learnt so far for farm animals by playing a game of “Who am I?” – it was lots of fun!

P4/5 – Gymnastics
We started our gymnastics block today and have been focusing developing our balance and flexibility by making different shapes with our bodies.

P4/5 – Internet Safety
We have been discussing how to stay safe online and which information is ok to share and which information should be kept private.
We watched a video about internet safety, completed a paired task sorting public and private information and then created our own avatar with a username, which allows us to keep our full name private.

P4/5 Expressive Arts
Based on our topic of Australia we created Australian animals out of clay that are often part of the Aboriginal Dream Time stories.
P4/5 – Numeracy Subtraction
We have been learning to combine our knowledge and skills of subtraction and applying number talk strategies to solve chilli word problems.
Everyone chose their level of chilli problems and then selected different number talk subtraction strategies to use. Everyone was challenged to try every strategy at least once.

P4/5 IDL
As part of our Scotland topic we were learning about where foods come from ‘Farm to Fork’ such as oats, milk and bread. After learning about milk production Emily was able to experience milking first hand and shared some photos with us. When learning about lochs and mountains in Scotland we talked about the Gaelic names and meanings they have been given. Rosie brought in a Gaelic book she has from home.
P4/5 IDL
As part of our topic learning about Australia we explored Aboriginal designs and symbols. Matilda brought in her didgeridoo and an Australian hat. We also read the Australian story The Missing Bilbies as part of World Book Day and explored Australian animals.
