RRS Outright Campaign

During the next two weeks classes will take part in UNICEF’s Outright campaign.  This campaign empowers children and young people to realise their own rights, and speak out in support of the rights of all children. This year, focuses on Article 24 (the right to the best possible healthcare).

Children will access learning activities and presentations in class that will help them understand more about their rights.

Please ask them all about what they are learning!

Outdoor Areas

Well done to our ECO Committee and other children who have been working hard in the garden this week.  The place is beginning to look much more inviting and pleasant to be in.

The picnic benches also look great and we will eventually create a timetable for senior classes to enjoy using these for packed lunches.  We also have a line machine to create some playground markings.  Mrs Bradley is going to work on this and has some great ideas.

We would like to thank Drongan Community Association for their donation of £1000 to put towards our outdoor areas.  The Community Association have been so supportive to the school over the years and this is another huge help.  We will look at what else we can do for the outdoor area and will also explore other options for funding suggested by the Community Association.

Thank you

Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood (RSHP)

During Term 4, as part of our Health and Wellbeing curriculum  for all stages, the children will be covering outcomes within the Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood programme.

The video below will provide you with all the information about RSHP and what will be covered at each level.

We hope you find this information useful when discussing these topics at home with your child.

If you are unsure of anything or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
