A reminder that we have a good selection of used but in good condition uniform available in the main hall. You are more than welcome to visit the school during 9.00am and 3.00pm to have a look and see if there is anything suitable.
Thank you once again to everyone who has handed in used uniform.
A huge thanks to The Drongan Community Association who donated £1000 to put towards the cost of transport for our forthcoming whole school trip to Heads of Ayr Farm Park. They also donated £500 to our ECC. Margaret Clarke and Pat Jones came to the school to present the cheque. Thank you from everyone at Drongan Primary School and ECC.
Please find information on the attached link about how to apply for the new young person’s free bus travel scheme.
Our song was played on the West FM Breakfast Show this morning. Here is a wee video of the song being played by Billy Kirkwood. Well done everyone and thanks to West FM for kindly playing the song!
Well done again to Kayla for raising money for Combat Stress. This donation now makes the total £600. We are very proud of you Kayla!
Our Heads and Deputes were delighted to take the donations to our local food provision ‘Helping Hands’.
Thanks to everyone who contributed this week.
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved our Rights Respecting Schools Silver Accreditation. A lot of work has gone into this and we are extremely proud. This has been a whole school team effort but a huge well done must go to Mrs Bradley and the Rights Respecting Schools committee. We look forward to officially receiving our award and continuing our journey towards gold.
We want to share some pictures of our new foyer. As shown in the previous post Maybole Upholstery kindly refurbished our bench and Mr Kelly also painted this. We have also created a display using some amazing artefacts that we had in the school reflecting the proud mining history of the village.
I am sure that you will agree the foyer is looking great, we look forward to being able to welcome you into the school to enjoy our lovely new environment.
We are absolutely delighted with our newly upholstered bench in the front foyer. Thank you to Mr Kelly for the paintwork and a huge thanks to Alan Green and Maybole Upholstery for the new cushions upholstered in our school colours. We are extremely grateful for this contribution, it looks great!
