This competition will be our focus for Numeracy this week. I have attached the powerpoint explaining the rules so have a look at it before you start. For example, the contest is live from 2pm-7pm so you wont be able to do it in the morning Im afraid. Good luck!
IDL – Extreme Weather
Take a look at the attached power point about different kinds of extreme weather. For example, you have tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes. Select one and research as much information as you can.
1. Where in the world does it happen?
2. Are there any well known examples?
3. Describe how this weather happens?
4. Describe the effects it can have e.g. destruction of houses
Present your information in a PowerPoint or poster and feel free to adds lots of images. Just be wary of searching for images that might be graphic, I would double check with an adult just to make sure.
