Young People’s PB Funding

Today we were presented with the cheque for £7500 which will fund the projects voted for by our P4-7 pupils.

The projects they selected were an outdoor classroom, den building equipment and outdoor experiences in our local area. We are very excited to start planning for these exciting opportunities.

House Points

After our maths week quiz, the house points in October are in. As you can see Finlas have an early lead but there will be plenty more opportunities to win points over the rest of the session. We’ll done everyone.

Young People’s Project Voting Event

Primary 4-7 visited the Community Centre to vote for the projects they would like to see funded. They have created project proposals and cast their votes today. Looking forward to finding out the results of the voting. Hopefully they’ll be able to come along with parents and carers to the Funding Event on Saturday between 11am and 3pm in the Community Centre to support 2 projects proposed by our Parent Council.

Primary 5/6 Homework

Good morning, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. The homework for the week this week is spelling and maths. I have attached a copy of the spelling words for each group – these should be practised each day for our spelling test on Friday. I have also challenged children to identify their sound of the week this week in their environment – can they spot any words in the supermarket with the ‘oe’ sound, on street signs etc. For maths we are focusing on place value in school, their worksheet to complete at home is linked to their current learning. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Have a good day 🙂 Miss McGrane.
