P1-3’s Cardboard Kingdoms 🏰

Yesterday afternoon P1-3 took advantage of the beautiful warm sunny weather and ventured outside for some castle building.🌞 Armed with cardboard boxes, Frosties, toilet paper tubes and LOTS of excitement, they set to work building Leswalt Castle. 🏰
As part of their social studies topic, ‘castles,’ Primary 1-3 have been learning all about the structure and parts of a castle and what life would be like during medieval times! In their teams, P1-3’s were challenged to build their own castles. Although each team’s creation  looked quite.. different.., they were all very well thought out. Some had drawbridges, windows, turrets, flags and there was even mention of security cameras from Jorgie 😆.
The perfect opportunity for us to show what we know about castles, but, what made the afternoon so special was watching all the children work together outside, solving problems, sharing ideas and to top it all off, the beautiful weather!😊😎
Well done Team P1-3!
