P1M 2019-2020 17.1.2020

This week the children have been very busy in all aspects of their learning and having fun along the way.

Literacy

This week the children have finished consolidating their learning of all initial sounds and will begin learning new sounds next week. We wrote about our news this week and it’s lovely to see the children become increasingly independent during formal writing activities.

Here are this weeks star writers! Well done to you both!

Numeracy

we have completed our learning on o’clock times this week and it’s satisfying to see the children tell the time with o’clock so confidently. Next week we will begin learning about addition to 10.

Here are this weeks Maths Stars! Congratulations!

Topic

Our topic this term is the body. This week the children enjoyed learning about the skeleton. The children are aware the skeleton is made on bones and can even name the largest (femur) bone and smallest (stirrup) in the body. We worked cooperatively to create our own skeletons!
