This week the children have started a new topic all about space. They are looking forward to finding out more about the Earth, the sun and the moon. This could be supported at home by perhaps pointing out the moon in the night sky or talking about the difference between day and night and/or the seasons of the year.

In Literacy the children have started to take home structured reading books as part of their homework. This will go out on a Monday, going forward. The books should be returned the following the Monday. It is an expectation that the children read the words inside the speech bubbles and parents read the rest of the story.

In Maths we have been consolidating our numbers to 20 through a variety of active tasks involving matching, sorting, ordering and writing.
