Sorting Ceremony

As part of our Context for Learning – Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone. P7S held a sorting ceremony to place pupils into one of the  4 Hogwarts house teams: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.

In our houses the first task was to design a  shield that represented our house. We had to use our house colours and include two words used to describe the characters of our house in the Sorting Hat song.

Slytherin
Ravenclaw
Hufflepuff

Scottish Landmarks

Today P2S found out their new context for learning – Scottish Landmarks, but Miss Stark didn’t make it easy for them!

The children had to work with a partner to put together lots of different puzzle pieces. Each pair had a different picture and the children had to figure out what all the pictures had in common!

The children took a look around at all of the different finished pictures. They had lots of ideas for what our new context might be!

P2S were out and about in the local community again this week! We visited Tullibody library and had a look at all of the wonderful books that they have to borrow. The children are looking forward to visiting again next month!
