National Improvement Framework

NATIONAL IMPROVEMENT FRAMEWORK FOR SCOTTISH EDUCATION

The First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon MSP, launched the National Improvement Framework for Scottish Education on 6 January 2016, following a commitment made in the Programme for Government in September 2015.

The Framework has been developed in consultation with teachers, parents, children and others and is central in driving work to continually improve Scottish education and close the attainment gap.

The Framework is intended to drive both excellence and equity in Scottish education.  Priorities will evolve over time to reflect emerging trends and will be reviewed annually.
