The p7 Secondary visit

On wednesday 17th all the primary sevens went up to secondary for our three day visit and we all had fun, it was so different from priamry school because we  had to walk to the class rooms and more different teachers. On Friday we all went into the hall once we had ate our lunch and there was entertainment and a mini disco. The school meals were amazing a quite cheap aswell. In the morning you could just go up and get what you want and then the lady will tell you when to put your pin in. Once we go back we will have our buddy for about a week or so and then we will be going on our own to get to classes. After two weeks we will get to go out for lunch if we want to you don’t have to though.

We will miss the primary school all the teachers are amazing so thank you very much

Nursery News

This term has been very busy for everyone in the nursery. The topic for them this term has been “Growing” and they have been using every possible chance to go outside. They have been loving the weeks when it has been good weather and not enjoying the weeks where it has been chucking down the rain quite as much. On Friday 19th June, they did a sing-a-long for their parents and it was wonderful. They didn’t make a single mistake and performed it almost to perfection. Well done! They have recently been caring for some butterflies and frogs. These creatures used to be caterpillars and tadpoles. But thanks to the work of the nursery, they are now fully grown adults. They will have their Sports Day on Thursday and the Primary 7s will be helping them. And finally, they are in the full swing of their transition to Primary 1 and they are playing in the playground with the younger stages, going to the primary one classes and listening to stories with them and doing whole classes with them. Overall, they have had a very action-packed term and have worked really hard! The Nursery staff say very well done!

P6 Cricket

Over the past couple of weeks the P6 cricket team have been very successful. They started off at Inverurie and won all of their matches by a lot of runs. After winning all of their games at Inverurie they went onto Perth. Once again they were very successful and came 4th out of the whole of Scotland. Great fun was had by all of the team.

Very well done

Loch Insh Watersports

A couple of weeks a go the majority of the P7s went of for a week up to Loch Insh near Aviemore.

They had all been looking forward to this trip for months and the expections were way past met.

To get in the ‘holiday mood’ they stopped off at the park in Aberlour to have a snack and a play. It was excellent fun and they were already enojoying their selfs before they even got there. They arrived at Loch Insh around lunchtime. They had their lunch and a stretch of their legs after the journey and then it was straight into it.

To make it easier the 2 classes were split into  4 groups called starfish, sharks, octopi and dolphins. They each did different activities. In one day the groups did 3 different activities in one day. So of course that meant a lot of food. Everybody thought the food was delicous and enjoyed it a lot.

Some of the activities were, problem solving, raft building, wind surfing, walking ,mountain biking, archery, boat tour, canoeing , kayaking, orienteering, paddle boarding and a disco on the Thursday evening which was great fun and many people went into the water that evening. As well as all that great fun was had in everybodys free time. Such as playing football, playing with bouncy balls, cards, music quizzes, games and going to the play parks.

To everybodys disapointment they had to go home on the Friday afternoon. Unsurprisingly after all that quite a lot of people were sleeping on the bus on the way home!!
