Cello demonstration

Mr Barclay visited the primary 5 classes to give a cello demonstration to the pupils. Children were able to find out what a cello looks and sounds like, to help them decide  if they would like to have lessons and learn to play the cello.

Mr Barclay asked the children if they recognised the tune …and then played the theme tune from the Simpsons! He also played a very beautiful song called the Swan. The p5s asked him questions about his cello, including how much his cello cost (thousand of pounds!) and how old it was (About 300 years!).

It was very interesting to hear the cello, and lots of pupils were keen to learn to play one.
