In Primary 7A we have been learning balances and different jumping techniques/movements in gymnastics. We were also learning how to do a ‘chasse’ and making a routine with different stretches and teamwork balances.

Our topic is WWII and we have been learning about lots of areas around WWII such as: structuring a Morrison/Anderson shelter with materials found in our house, we made art out of chalk and black paper on The Blitz, doing research on Jewish children from the Holocaust then making a poster with all our information.

In maths, we have been learning about percentages and how to find different percentages of a number such as 50%, 25%, 20%, 10% and 5%. We have also been doing different types of angles with Mrs. Wallace such as: straight angles, reflex angles, and full rotation. We have recently started using 3 figure bearings as well.

In literacy, we have been doing colons and semi-colons such as ‘’Jay hates playing in goal; he finds it boring.’’  We have also been doing our dictation and spelling practice every week. We have been doing formal writing and informal letters to people such as the high school teachers to tell them about what we are like.
