Get ready for Commonwealth Day on 12 March
Prepare to take part with our new resource ‘It’s good to talk: oracy lesson plan’, designed to help students become confident, effective communicators.
Join our virtual school assembly for students aged 7 to 14 to celebrate Commonwealth Day and discuss this year’s theme, ‘Towards a Common Future’. Schools around the world are invited to contribute thoughts and share issues that are important to them and their communities.

The live webcast will run from 10.00 to 11.00 GMT on Monday 12 March. You must register in advance in order to participate on the day. Download the resource and register.

Winners announced

Thank you to the hundreds of students across the Commonwealth for their thought-provoking writing on the theme of peace. From wartime stories to tales about family relationships, the top entries are now available to read, accompanied by specially commissioned illustrations. All those who took part will receive a Participation Award. Read the stories.
