Outdoor Classroom Day 2017

posted by Alita Spink, Schools and Learning Support Officer, Schools and Learning

Dear supporter

Spending time playing and learning outdoors is essential for a happy childhood and helps children learn important skills for the future. All curricula across Scotland, Wales and England includes elements that are best taught outdoors.

This is what Grounds for Learning exists to support, and so we were delighted to team up and help lead the Outdoor Classroom Day initiative. We think you will be excited by this as well.

We are asking you to help us in two ways:

– Spend two minutes signing up to the event on May 18th by clicking here

– Use the buttons below to share on social media or forward this email to friends and colleagues

Thank you

Conference topics include:

–     Recipe for Success? An update on policy
–     Tackling food poverty through a multi-agency approach
–     The role of food in promoting social inclusion, social interaction and positive behaviours
–     Establishing healthy attitudes to food from an early age
–     Adopting a child rights approach to food.
