Get ready for the Year of Young People

Did you know that 2018 is going to be the Year of Young People in Scotland? This is an opportunity to celebrate the amazing achievements of young people (aged 8-26) across  Scotland, value the contributions they make to their communities, and create new opportunities for them to have their voices listened to Young people are already getting involved  in making the Year of Young People happen.  Find out what you can do to be involved.

If I ruled Scotland e-book

On 26 May, Sir Tom Hunter hosted a charity dinner for President Barack Obama in Edinburgh. Young people from secondary schools across Scotland were invited to submit their thoughts on what their priorities would be if they had the opportunity to rule Scotland.  Their responses have now been collated in an e-book called If I ruled Scotland.  The resource can support discussion and debate about citizenship in secondary schools.
