Arbroath High School – Future Chef Competition

First year pupils Catie Mathieson and Toby Chung are the winners of the recently held school heat of the 2016/17 Future Chef Competition at Arbroath High School. They competed against fellow S1 pupils to produce an up-to-the minute main course meal for two, within one hour and costing no more than five pounds. After a closely fought round with fellow pupils, the judges, Headteacher Mr Pandrich and senior pupil and former two times winner, Rebecca Ramsay were unanimous in deciding that Toby and Catie had produced the tastiest dishes on the day and that both showed creative flair.

Catie and Toby now have the opportunity to work under the watchful eye of a mentor. They will produce a two course meal for two which they will cook in the Tayside heat to be held at Angus College in January 2017.
