What will I learn?
The aim of the National 3 Applications of Maths course is to provide learners with the skills required to interpret and solve mathematical problems in a real-life context. This course will enable learners to select and apply number processes, interpret data and measurements, and communicate mathematical information.
What do I require to select this course?
You should have been working in the Second/Third Curriculum Level during BGE or passed the National 2 Maths course prior to starting this course.
How will I be assessed?
National 3 Applications of Maths has 3 mandatory units:
- Manage Money and Data
- Shape, Space and Measure
- Numeracy
These are assessed online using SQA Solar. To gain a course award, learners must pass all 3 unit assessments.

Achievement of this course gives automatic certification of the following Core Skill:-
