Week beginning 13th May saw the start of Innellan Primary School’s Health Week. This was to be a week of very exciting opportunities and a chance to learn about health matters.
On Monday 13th May the pupils all went to The Velvet Path Trekking Centre. The children all got the chance to ride a pony and had a tour of the Centre.
Tuesday 14th May saw the pupils learning about Golf!
Wednesday 15th May the children all went swimming at the Riverside Pool Dunoon where some of the children were brave enough to go down the slide! On Wednesday afternoon we all went to the beach as part of the Cleaning Up Scotland Campaign and managed to get 8 bags of rubbish from the beach.
Thursday 16th May we were the guests of Toward Sailing Club where the children were given a ride in the clubs RIB. After the excitement of the RIB ride they all took part in a Treasure Hunt on the beach.
Friday 17th May we had a visit from Fiona Duncan who gave the children a talk on Dental Health.
In the afternoon the children tasted lots of different fruits and made milkshakes with the fruit.
All in all a very exciting week!
