Diluain 16 An t-Ògmhios, chaidh a’ chlann ann an Clas 4-6 aig Bun-sgoil Bhogha Mòr dhan choille aig Beul an Atha. An toiseach, chaidh sinn dhan Ghàrradh Choimhearsnachd airson beagan measan is glasraich fhaighinn. Gu mi-fhortanach, air sgàth an droch aimsir, cha robh mòran ri fhaighinn ach fhuair sinn leiteis, chives, radish agus beagan rùbarab.

As dèidh sin, chaidh sinn a-steach dhan choille. Bha dùbhlan ron chloinn – tog bothan beag a tha mòr gu leòr airson dithis fhalach na bhroinn! Dh’obraich sinn ann an dithisean agus an toiseach thog sinn bothan beag bìodach airson Action Bunny. Bha siud furasta!












An uair sin, thog sinn na bothain fhèin. Chuir sinn seachad fad an fheasgair; chleachd sinn tòrr maidean, tòrr raineach agus duilleagan; agus mu dheireadh bha sia bothain againn agus cha robh sgeul air duine. Bha iad uile am falach am broinn na bothain! Chòrd an latha rinn uile gu mòr agus ionnsaich sinn tòrr mu chraobhan, duilleagan, lusan eile agus gu sònraichte co-obrachadh!

On Monday 16 June, the children in P4-6G at Bowmore Primary School went to the woods at Bridgend. First of all, we went to the Community Garden to get some fruit and vegetables. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, there wasn’t a lot available, but we did get some lettuce, chives, radish and a little rhubarb.

After that, we went into the woods. The children had a challenge – build a hide big enough to hide two people! We worked in pairs and first of all we built tiny little hides for Action Bunny. Easy peasy!

Then on to the real thing. We spent the whole afternoon; we used lots of wood, lots of bracken and leaves; and eventually we had six hides and there were no children to be seen. They were all hidden inside their hides! We all enjoyed the day immensely and we learned a lot about trees, leaves, other plants, and especially about co-operation.
