Milton house’s S1 visited Primary 7 in Kirn Primary on Wednesday 6th May. They had been studying Health and Internet Safety in their PSE class and wanted to pass on advice to the Primary 7s to encourage them to keep themselves safe too. The visit was enjoyed by all involved!

S3 Child Protection Committee – Art and Music Project
Tarbert Academy Pupils in S3 Art and Music spent an exciting 2 days last week producing artworks and musical backing for use by Argyll & Bute Child Protection Committee. The project was to produce artworks which the CPC can use to broadcast messages about certain areas of concern for adolescents. School pupils’ posters will help keep children safe across Argyll and Bute
Primary schools pupils in Argyll and Bute have helped the local Child Protection Committee (CPC) to keep children safe and protected by designing posters to raise awareness of the issue.
When Fiona Blakey, Argyll and Bute Council cultural co-ordinator heard that the CPC wanted to update their public information, she turned the idea into a project for primary schools.
Pupils throughout the area were asked to think about what messages they would give to people about protecting children at home, at school and in the community.
Five designs were selected, and have now been made into bright public information posters which are being displayed in public buildings and offices across Argyll and Bute.
