Worry Rock Monsters
P3 have read ‘A Whole Bag of Worries’ for their building resilience talk things over unit. They have talked about their own worries and identified a worry each. This has led them to design and create their own worry rock monster.

I have also set a Stormy day sumdog challenge for you all to complete which will test your knowledge on our recent learning we have been doing on addition, subtraction and money.

On Friday, all children were given the chance to recite a Scots poem in class.
A big well done to two of our Primary one pupils, who worked hard at home to learn their poems and have been chosen to recite them at the P3 assembly on Wednesday. Well done to you both!

Forms for our upcoming trip have been sent home today and a group call reminder has been sent to all parents/carers.
All forms must be returned for your child to attend the trip.
Next week, we will have a visitor to our class from the organisation Nil by Mouth. They will be exploring important topics of discrimination, sectarianism and racism.

It has been another busy week for Primary 3/2. We started the week by learning some Scottish vocabulary. In pairs we had to go around the classroom finding Scottish words written on post-it notes. Once we had found them all we arranged them in alphabetical order before using the ipads to find out their meanings.
On Wednesday we played a word association game to warm our brains up before creating a mind map of things we knew about Scotland. We managed to go all the way round the class with everyone saying a word that they thought linked with the previous word. Here is what we came up with:
We have finished the week by creating some Acrostic Poems about Scotland and `Nessie.
