P6 Snow Day activities

Good morning boys and girls!

I hope you are all going out in the snow today. When you are out can you measure how deep the snow is where you are?

If you make a snow man today can you take it’s picture? Then can you measure how tall it is and how wide it is? We will compare everyone’s results when we get back and we will make a bar chart with the information. Take a picture of it and post it on twitter if you can!

Here is a mental maths warm up for you today!

Multiply: 24 x 15,  16 x 45 and 72 x 15. Challenge whoever you are at home with and then compare your strategies. Which strategy is most effective?

Did you take part in the reading challenge?

What is your favourite book? Draw a detailed poster about your book. Remember to include a bold title and interesting facts to encourage  others to read it.

Country comparison Scotland with Bangladesh.

While you are off you can be practising the dance you did with Mrs Pender because we will be performing it to the parents at the end of the assembly.  Yesterday I was so inspired by the information the food group found out about Bangladeshi traditional food I made a lentil dahl! I have taken photos of it and I will share them with you.

Stay warm

Mrs Campbell
