Thank you to those that came along to our parent council meet last night. We had 5 parents turn out along with Miss Morrison and myself. Â We discussed what a Parent Council is for and what we could do to engage with more parents.
The Parent Council will be taking some of their ideas forward over the next weeks so please, look out for this information and consider how you can contribute to your child’s schooling.
The letter below was emailed home today. Â If you do not receive emails – a copy was put into your child’s schoolbag.
We hope to see you along this evening for our informal wine and chat evening – 6:30 – 7:30. Â We hope to discuss what you want from your Parent council and how you can help. Â See you there.

Be aware that we will be making the most of this weather to move learning outside as appropriate. Children may need hats, suncream, etc.  Where you feel it is appropriate put suncream in your child’s bag – staff will not apply the cream for the children but will support the pupil’s independent application where necessary.

Weather for today (Thursday) is looking to be damp and wet which will affect the condition of the grass. Â However Friday morning weather is looking to be fairly dry and mild with a slight chance of shower. Â I will assess the condition of the grass on the field after school today and make a decision about going ahead or postponing tomorrow’s sports day. Â I will inform you all by groupcall email.

The Parent Council is first and foremost a forum for discussion.  It is organised and run by parents and parents take on roles of Chair, Secretary, etc.  Parents/carers are welcome to come and be involved.  It is important that we are all involved in discussing the work of the school.
