Many thanks for making our Cultural Diversity open event a great success

The open event this morning was a fantastic demonstration of the strength of our two communities of Pumpherston and Uphall Station.  It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers, family members and friends mixing, chatting and enjoying a croissant and a cup of tea while sharing their children’s learning.  I can’t thank enough all of the hard-working and dedicated staff at PUSCPS and all of you, our PUSCPS families, for making it a great success for the children.

Pumphie Pals was a great success

Our first Pumphie Pals event was fantastic.  All pupils showed great maturity and enthusiasm sharing their learning, questioning their peers and discussing the learning that had taken place during Cultural Diversity Week.  We wanted to take time for pupils to share and be proud of what they were doing and this was a lovely event which was enjoyed by everyone.

This afternoon at 11:30 parents, carers, relatives and friends are invited to some to school and share this learning with your child.  We have a French Cafe in the dining hall from 11:15.  Children should be returned to their class by approximately 12pm – if you are taking your children home early please ensure you sign them out with the class teacher.

Many thanks for your support,  Steven Eagleson

Dress down Day

There will be no dress down day this Friday.  This is due to the recent fundraising we have undertaken for Nepal and the upcoming P1-3 Den Building Day raising money for Save the Children.  Our next dress down day will be on the last day of term – 26 June – where we will have a special Summer Fun Dress Day to raise funds for Magale School.

End of term

Today we said goodbye to Miss Anderson in an assembly.  Miss Anderson will take up her new post as Principal Teacher at Kirknewton Primary School after the holiday.

School and nursery re-open at the usual time on Monday 20 April and we look forward to seeing you all then, relaxed and refreshed.
