Remember that this Friday (27 January) is dress down day and pupils may wear their own clothes – not make-up, jewellery or football colours.
This month’s donation is in aid of NAIT babies which was suggested by a family in our community who have been affected by this.

Are you registered for Educational Maintenance benefits?
There are a range of benefits available to support pupil education. Â these include Free School Meals, free milk, clothing allowances, etc. Â It is very important you are registered to receive these if you are entitled. Â Please click the link below to find out more about these important benefits. Â If you are eligible, please ask at the office and we can help you register.
Remember that while P1-P3 receive free school meals automatically, you still need to register for Free School Meals in order to access other allowances.

We have heard some reports of bikes being stolen from the village. Â Please ensure that all bikes at school are locked securely. Â You can also contact the police to help with marking the bike in case of theft.
Please remember that bike helmets should always be worn.
The following letter is in your child’s bag today. Â It is important to us as a school community that children are safe, smart and presentable and that clothing is appropriate and fit for learning.
The flyer below was sent home today in your child’s bag (P1-P7). Â If anyone wants to audition for a slot in the assembly please ensure that the attached slip is completed and returned.
It was announced that Rhona Ritchie, our outstanding and dedicated lollipop lady, has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the New Year’s Honours list.
What fantastic recognition of Rhona’s dedication to generations of Pupils from Pumpherston & Uphall Station over the last 40+ years. Â Well done Rhona, we’re all very proud of you.

Tomorrow afternoon at 1:15 we celebrate our Christmas assembly. Pupils from P1-P7 will sing a selection of Christmas songs which I’m sure you’ll want to join in with, and we will be joined by our chaplain, Mr Povey.
Remember that it is ‘dress down for fun’ so no money is required. We look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow at 1:15.

Our P1 pupils performed a fantastic nativity play “Wriggly Nativity” on Wednesday. Â The P2 and P3 pupils supported as the choir and they were great too.
Well done to all the boys and girls and thank you for the help at home and a huge thank you and well done to Mrs Strachan and Miss Cave with Mrs Campbell, Miss McLennan, Ms Ross and Mrs Stanton.
