A big congratulations to our Basketball Team who are currently winning the White Conference Pool B league. Their final games for this tournament are on Friday and we wish them lots of luck!
P6 Skiing
Some of our P6 pupils have just returned from a 3 day skiing course at Hillend. They learned new skills and challenged themselves. Their skiing instructor, Dave, and Mrs Ross said they were excellent ambassadors for our school. Well done P6, we are proud of you!
Active Schools: P6 & 7 Broxburn Academy Basketball Club
This club is ran by a teacher at Broxburn Academy who coaches all the basketball teams there. If you are interested pop along on the day!
Basketball Success!
Our amazing Basketball Team took part in the West Lothian Wolves schools tournament on Friday. They won 4 games out of 5! A big congratulations to our fantastic team, we are very proud of you!

Active Schools
Active School Coordinators have been working closely with the school to put on after school clubs that the pupils would like to attend. There were five different clubs offered in term one which led to 33% of the school roll taking part in a sporting extra-curricular club. This is a fantastic jump from the 18% of the school roll that took part in term one in 2017.
Again this term there will be a range of clubs on offer which started last week. These include multi-sports, dance and football. There are still spaces available in all clubs so if you would like a space speak to your teacher.
If there are any clubs you would be interested in seeing running please get in touch and Active Schools will try to help.

Basketball Team Success
Our Basketlball Team played in the West Lothian Wolves tournament on Friday. They won 3 out of the 4 games they played in! This is a huge success for our team. A big thank you to Mrs Hamilton for coaching our team and to her son for coming along to help support them. Also thank you to all the parents and families that came along to support the team.

Term 2 Celebration Assembly
This morning we held our Term 2 Celebration Assembly.
Michelle Quinn from Almond Engineering came along to share with us her achievement of receiving West Lothian Business Woman of the Year. She told us about how she worked hard at school and started with Almond Engineering 12 years ago and worked her way up in the company.
Our Dojo top scorers received a gift voucher.
Michelle presented our STEM Superstars with an award for their achievements in Science, Maths, Engineering and Maths.
Our Awesome Authors received an award for achievements in writing.
Our Basketball Team and Choir also received special awards.
Moira, our librarian had reading awards for children 12 books in 12 days, and for reading their first book.
One of our P4s received a head teacher award for performing in the Panto at Bathgate Regal.
Cozy Corner drew their raffle. 
Congratulations to Breich for earning the most house points in term 2, they will receive their treat at the start of next term.
Bronze School Sport Award
