Our children did a fantastic job of representing their classes at the competition, a big well done to them all and their families for joining them at the competition.

A special congratulations to Jacob who came runner up in the P1-3 section.

Four of our Primary 6s joined schools across West Lothian at Howden Park this morning where they took part in the West Lothian heats of the Scottish European Educational Trust Euroquiz 2019. Pupil Council Watch Annie at Kirkhill PS

Some of our Pupil Council had the opportunity to visit Kirkhill Primary and watch their production of Annie. They really enjoyed the experience and thought the show was excellent! Miss Burton also received an email from Miss McLaren, the Head Teacher at Kirkhill to say:

‘Your kids who came to the show were amazing … their behaviour and manners were exemplary and were an absolute joy to have in the school. I hope they enjoyed it.’.

Active Schools

Active School Coordinators have been working closely with the school to put on after school clubs that the pupils would like to attend. There were five different clubs offered in term one which led to 33% of the school roll taking part in a sporting extra-curricular club. This is a fantastic jump from the 18% of the school roll that took part in term one in 2017.

Again this term there will be a range of clubs on offer which started last week. These include multi-sports, dance and football. There are still spaces available in all clubs so if you would like a space speak to your teacher.

If there are any clubs you would be interested in seeing running please get in touch and Active Schools will try to help.
