This week, Primary 2/1 received some unexpected mail!
We had been sent a story (‘The Smartest Giant in Town’) and some challenges to go alongside it. The letters were signed with ‘G’ and a footprint. We are starting to make predictions about who the mysterious ‘G’ might be but are hoping we receive some more clues to help us!
We listened to ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’ and participated in play-based challenges linked to the story.
We:
- Wrote ‘thank you’ letters to George the giant in the role of one of the animals.
- Designed a new outfit for George to wear.
- Used construction to build models of the town from the story.
- Used figures/puppets to retell the story.
