P5 Tasks for Wednesday 25/03/20

You choose how and when to do your tasks.  Tasks can be done in the assignments tab, class notebook, in a document which you email to me or you can just do it in a jotter and either send me a picture or ask someone at home to look at it and give you some feedback.  You can do your work anytime that suits you, and in any order you like.  However, if you need my help I will only be available during school hours.

If you would like more work to do I have set up an “extra work” folder in Team Files as I know some of you like a challenge!

Words of reassurance re home learning

Dear parents and children,
These are challenging times and although we are trying to keep routines in place, please don’t feel that you have to stick exactly to the school timetables that are in Teams or supplied by teachers.  We just want your children to be safe and as happy as possible during this time and we know that can mean something different for everyone.  Learning takes lots of forms and doesn’t always require pencils and jotters.  Please feel free to do other things during the day with no worry that it has to be the tasks we have assigned.  If you want to bake cakes etc then please do so. Those on TEAMs just try and drop in every now and then to say hello.  But, it’s also fine for children to be online working/chatting with their class following the timetable every day- just do what is best for you.
The TEAMs are very busy just now and there are still glitches due to the amount of people trying to access it – please don’t stress about this.  Please! Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
Best wishes

Morning wishes

Dear children,

This is a time of transition for us all.  Transitions are important.  Think of nursery to primary, primary to secondary, class to class.  We give lots of time for you to get used to these changes and new routines.  Take this time to settle into this transition.  Take one day at a time.  Don’t rush and try not to worry.

Take care everyone and keep in touch.

P1 Weekly Home Learning Planner for Parents

P1 Weekly Home Learning Planner for Parents

Dear Primary 1 Parents,

I hope you and all of the children are well – please tell them I am asking for them.

I hope today you have been able to have a look at the resources within the P1 pack and familiarise yourselves with everything. I understand that there is a lot to take in and I hope no one is feeling too stressed or overwhelmed at the moment.

I have attached a weekly planner for you which will direct you on specific tasks which should be completed each day. I hope you find this helpful.

Many thanks,

Miss Hewit
