P2 Homework
Hello boys and girls,
Welcome to P2 homework club! As some things are
a little different this year, the way we do homework will
be too! You will receive your homework club pack which will contain:
- A jotter for you to complete tasks at home
- A new spelling list each Monday
- A new reading book each Friday (Try to read your book by the following Friday)
- Your purple reading record
- A tricky word list to practise reading at home (You can even practise trying to spell these words too!)
We strongly encourage reading at home regularly however, other homework may be completed at a time and pace that suits you and the adult who supports you with homework. Each term I will upload a spelling, maths and topic grid with different tasks to the school blog: https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/wl/midcalderps/.
You can choose to complete these tasks in the homework jotter provided. If you would then like me to look at any of your completed tasks, you may bring your homework jotter to school and I will have a look (Please remember that if you bring your jotter for me to look at/touch, it will need to have a 72 hour ‘rest’ in school before being returned to you).
Please make sure you bring your homework club pack with all its contents to school every day to keep safe in your tray. I know this is a lot of information so please keep this letter safe in your pack to remind you what to do. Any questions, then please ask and I can help you!
Good luck and enjoy P2’s new homework club!
