#saveourseas

P5 have been engaged in their learning this term through their save our seas IDL this term. Their favourite tasks so far have been creating seascape textured art, exploring a range of different media to create an image. They also learned about the angers of plastic pollution and demonstrated this by adding plastic to sea-creatures. Although P5 enjoyed creating the art work, we discussed how moving the finished product made them feel.

They have also created a “Tweet wall” after finding out that you have to return single use cups to coffee shops to be successfully recycled. They are extremely passionate about this and we plan to send a class tweet to a coffee shop.. watch this space!

Taking a trip to the rainforest…

Primary 5 had a great time this afternoon taking a trip to the rainforest. We used our virtual reality headsets to enter this exciting world. It provided us with a good discussion starter and helped us to write down ideas on our KWL grid. We talked about what we already KNOW about the rainforest and what we WANT to find out. At the end of the topic, we will discuss what we have LEARNED. We are looking forward to learning more as the weeks progress and we will continue to use digital technology to enhance our learning.

Burns Day 2019

A big thank you to all those who took part in our PSA fundraiser by wearing tartan or dressing down to celebrate Burns Day on 25th January. We raised a fantastic £130.12 for the school.
