P3B Friday 15th May

Morning, I hope everyone has had a great week.

I have been sent lots of arts and crafts this week. Have a look at this video created by someone in our class, he has been painting rocks and created a ‘How to’ video. This might be a nice activity for over the weekend. Remember to paint #LPSrocks on your rock.

I have also being doing some arts and crafts at night. This is called diamond painting, its like a paint by numbers but with tiny little beads,  20,000 of them!! I made this picture for my niece’s bedroom, she is only 9 weeks old. Now it is finished I need to think of what I can do next, does anyone have any suggestions?

Have a great weekend.

Has anyone been learning the words for pets in French? Can you guess what animals I have and how many?  I have un chien et deux poisons.

Here is a morning challenge to get everyone awake and ready for the day.

P3B Wednesday 6th May

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely long weekend.

Below I have attached this weeks learning grid. As it is a shorter week we have only focused on literacy, maths and health and wellbeing. Next week we will be back to suggestions in each curricular area. We know the work we sent home will now be finished, this week you will find activities on the website that can be downloaded. These do not need to be printed children can work on these in their jotters or discuss them with someone in their family. From next week the learning grids will be slightly different to include activities that do not require printing.

P3 Week 5

VE Day

VE Day or Victory in Europe Day is celebrated on the 8th of May, the same date WWII (World War 2) came to an end in 1945. That means on Friday it is the 75th anniversary.
Have a chat with your parents and find out if anyone in your family served during the war. Send us an email or comment on the blog to let us know.
I had a few people in my family. My Papa was 18 when the war started and was in the Army. My Gran was also 18 when the war started and she had to take over the job of operating train signals. My Grandad was 21 when the war started and he was in the Navy, he gave me his medals to look after, here is a picture.

Did any of you try Mr Brice’s challenge of mapping out a route that your family could do at the weekend? Keep in touch share news, work or just say hello. We love hearing from you.

P3B – Wednesday 29th April

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all having a good week so far. Thank you to everyone who has been in contact with Mr Brice and myself, we love hearing what you have been up to and seeing all your hard work.

On Monday me and Elliot made a bird feeder with an old tub, sticks and shoe laces. There are so many great ideas and you can usually make them with things you have around the house. We haven’t seen any birds on it yet but hopefully they get used to it soon. Here is a picture.

I know everyone loved Percy Parkers 5 times table song in class. As you are all so good at it why not share it with your family. You could also learn Percy Parkers 3 times table song.

Good Morning P3B

Good morning everyone!
I hope you had a lovely Easter break. I have been missing you all and thinking about you all the time.

What have you been doing over the last two weeks? The weather has been beautiful! I have been very busy painting my fence, playing in the garden and going on lots of walks near my house.

I have seen many signs that spring is here when I have been out, including this lamb that had just been born!

I went back to visit them, they are now 4 weeks old! They have grown so much!

I love spring it is my favourite season. I would love to hear about signs of spring you have seen in your garden or when you have been out a walk, you could even send me some photos!

Spring writing

On a Wednesday we usually do writing in P3B. I have missed reading your writing and I know many of you really enjoy it! You could do some spring free writing and send me your stories. Below I have attached some spring pictures to give you ideas and get you started.
