Snow Day Wellbeing Challenge

Choose your level and spell your name. Want to make it harder, add in middle and surnames. Why not challenge the rest of your family to join you. Clear a space, get some music on and do a workout together.

Afterwards all take the time out of your day to try the five minute relaxation activity. This is as important for us all with busy lives as exercise. Again, put some quiet relaxing music on, or alternatively go for silence and concentrate on the noises you can hear all around you.

For wee superstars:

For those feeling brave:

For a little extra spice…:

Time for some relaxation, please take the time to try this!

Best of luck to you all, parents…apologies in advanced.

Oak Room – Snow Day 3!

Good morning boys and girls,

If you are looking for some new activities to try today then here are a couple of ideas..

Paint the snow

You will need:

  • A spray bottle or water pistol
  • Food colouring
  • Water

Mix the food colouring with the water and then use to spray on the snow. See what patterns this makes.

You can also use turkey baster or an empty plastic bottle and pierce the lid instead of a spray bottle.

You could use different colours and paint a rainbow !

Snow/Ice Moulds

Using your baking or sand pit moulds use these with the snow and ice.  Can you build a tower?  Make a house?

Loose Parts Play

What can you build using items you find around the house or outside?

Enjoy your weekend and hopefully see you on Monday.

Primary 3 -Snow Day Reminder

Remember to use the Snow Day Activities Pack sent home in November.  They have a variety of cross-curricular ideas to occupy you during School Closures.  If you scroll down the Primary 3 section of this blog, you will find an electronic copy of the Snow Day Activities Pack.  It is in the November dates, so you will need to scroll down further.  Also remember to use the on-line resources of the Bug Club (www.activelearnprimary.co.uk) for reading books/ activities and www.sumdog.com for maths.  Find the access information in your school diaries.  Enjoy the snow, have fun and keep safe.  Mrs S.R.
